ANTIQUE GEOMETRIC QUILT DESIGNS LIGHTNING IN THE HILLS
| < INDEX
Quilt Notes: LIGHTNING IN THE HILLS is illustrated in ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PIECED QUILT PATTERNS, compiled by Barbara Brackman. Though it appears complicated, the entire block is made up of a single-size triangle or one square repeated. It was designed under the name Nancy Cabot (Loretta Leitner Rising) and published for quilters in the 1930's in Cabot's syndicated column in the Chicago Tribune.
