Quilt Notes:
First published in the late 19th c. Ladies Art Company Catalogue as FOUR POINTS (#106) and later published under this name, LATTICE AND SQUARE, in Nancy Cabot's Chicago Tribune quilt column on September 8, 1937, (and as illustrated left, with its bold, colonial headline). Cabot's notes state the following:

"Here is an old colonial pattern which has all the quaintness and charm possible in any quilt pattern. The blocks are not difficult to assemble and they are set together to form an all-over design of exquisite beauty. Yellow, white and two shades of blue are colors which combine to produce LATTICE AND SQUARE. This pattern is ideal for twin beds, and a finished coverlet containing 36 pieced blocks, surrounded by a six inch border, measures 92 inches square."
