ANTIQUE GEOMETRIC QUILT DESIGNS FALLING TIMBERS
| < INDEX
 |
Quilt Notes: For illustrations of FALLING TIMBERS and other "drunkard's path" type quilt blocks, and with full templates, and cutting & piecing instructions, see: 65 DRUNKARD'S PATH QUILT DESIGNS, by Pepper Cory, Dover, 1991. FALLING TIMBERS is a marvelous name for this topsy-turvy design, where all is flux. Quilters have been piecing it since at least about 1932, when it appeared in a booklet of "Old and New" patterns (see Barbara Brackman's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PIECED QUILT PATTERNS). Other Drunkard's designs at this site include:
DRUNKARD'S PATH
FALLING TIMBERS
FOOL'S PUZZLE
REFLECTIONS OF LOVE
SNAKE'S TRAIL
SUNSHINE AND SHADOWS
WONDERS OF THE WORLD
